Publishing House "Burda" and the company LG Electronics held on March 1 joint donor action. Temporary point of blood transfusion was deployed in the office of the publishing houses Burda, the leader of Russia's market of magazine production, magazines which read today, more than 33 million people. By staff ID Burda joined by representatives of the Moscow office and Service Mission of the company LG Electronics.

It's no secret that today the problem of shortage of donors is particularly acute in Russia. Every minute, someone in the country needs a blood transfusion. Donors are the only source of life for sick or injured, because blood and its components can not be synthesized artificially. It is important to note that today in Russia to 1000 people, have an average of 14 donors with the necessary number of 40.

In 2009, the Publishing House "Burda" in the pages of their journals has given strong support to public information program of voluntary blood donation and its components, a partner in 2009 which is owned by LG Electronics. However, understanding the significance of the problem, the company decided to expand the format of cooperation, organizing joint donor action.

The last day the donor, as donors and regular events held in the office of LG Electronics, servicehjemmeside representation and at the plant in Ruse, shows that such initiatives not only help replenish the bank donated blood and save lives, but also help to strengthen team spirit and collective.

Recall that on October 7 the company LG jointly with the Federal Medical-Biological Agency held at the plant near Moscow near the town of Ruza similar donor action.

In Microsoft demonstrated a prototype of the first serial phone Windows Phone 7, it was a slider with QWERTY-keyboard production LG, very similar to eXpo. We already wrote that LG plans to release the first device on the new OS, it will happen in September.

Among the characteristics known only that he will have 5-megapixel camera. However, knowing the minimum requirements for Microsoft to devices on the WP 7, the phone should be a fast processor and a touch screen with a resolution of at least 800 × 480. A Microsoft representative Aaron Woodman (Aaron Woodman) showed how a list of applications. Any application of the general list, you can add to the home screen. Interestingly action back button: it can not just return the user to step back into a single application, but also switch to the previous application. For example, you can work with the player Zune, then write the SMS-message, press the "Back" and return to the player.

Still not entirely clear to multitasking. According to Woodman, a number of programs (eg player) will be able to work in the background, but can do third-party programs, he did not elaborate. No he added clarity and on the question, can I go to the WP 7 in the already sold devices such as HTC HD2. Rather, these questions become clearer at the conference MIX.

Woodman said that Microsoft stirred controversy about the need to synchronize the phone with Mac OS. Sam Woodman does not know 100% what decision is made to that effect, but he noted that it is quite likely. Zune HD yet boasts impeccable support for other platforms.

There were rumors that LG will release a phone on Windows Mobile 7 as early as September this year. At first, this phone will be delivered in the U.S., and later in Europe.

The same source reported that in April, LG will release the phone on Android 2.1, its sale will go to the same scheme. This is unlikely to GT540, but what exactly it will be hard to say.

If this rumor is true, it would mean that Windows Mobile 7 is not only not be postponed until 2011, but it is quite possible that Microsoft will provide the operating system at Mobile World Congress in February. Time is just the same: to start producing smartphones in September, Microsoft had to deliver to producers operating in the spring. Microsoft demonstrates new OS is usually at least once before sending it to producers, and often this is happening precisely at the Barcelona Congress.

The organization Greenpeace has updated its Guide to Green Electronics, which praised Apple for its active stance on the environment, noting that the company is making a lot of effort to make its products were harmful components.

«Apple is leading, but HP is also very close, – commented Greenpeace activists Gerell Casey (Casey Harrell). – And here is the lack of initiative on the part of other companies shows that consumers and the environment continues to lose ".

The biggest drop in the rating of Green tested Samsung – from second place to seventh. Greenpeace criticized the Samsung because it did not remove their products from brominated flame retardants, that Greenpeace asked to do before 2010. But Samsung has initiated steps to remove toxic compounds from mobile phones. Before notebooks turn comes in 2011.

Dell, Lenovo and LG also worsened the position: they promised to take some measures, but did not. Good situation for Nokia and Sony Ericsson.

"In 2010, important changes must occur in the use of BFRs and PVC manufacturers of computers and televisions," – considers Gerell.
