Twitter has announced plans to launch a formal application for Android. According to CEO Evan Williams (Evan Williams), the approach will be the same as when creating a client for the BlackBerry and iPhone: the official application will compete with the informal. He did not indicate whether Twitter to buy ready-made application to the side or it will be developed from scratch.

For Android already exist informal client application Twitter, Seesmic and such Twidroid. At Motorola MOTOBLUR, HTC Peep and some other smart phones have their own means of access to Twitter.
