On Wednesday, Google added a new way to search on phones running Android 2.0 and above, who called Gesture Search. Now you can search for contacts, installed applications, bookmarks, and music by drawing on the screen characters.

The system recognizes both lowercase and uppercase letters, and if it is something "not understand", then tries to clarify the request. Incorrectly typed characters can be removed with a horizontal gesture.

Gesture Search is a free download from the Android Market.
